4 Star, Bella Luce, St Martin
Renovations to this boutique hotel were completed in summer 2008. Bella Luce is one of the oldest Norman manor houses in Guernsey with parts dating to 12th century. Some of the public rooms are country inn meets Raffles with bevelled windows and huge palms! Genuine old leather suitcases stacked in alcoves and corners reflect the colonial traveller’s theme, with stickers revealing the long journey of some. One took a circuitous route to Guernsey via New York and Glasgow!
Outside pool (heated in the summer). www.bellalucehotel.com
3 Star, Fleur du Jardin, Castel
With its ongoing renovation project, Hotel Fleur du Jardin has retained the feel of a beautiful and stylish country inn. The owner, Ian Irving Walker, describes it as "an experience, and not just somewhere to sleep". Influenced by his travels, personal touches inspire him, such as an exquisite sampler made by a 7 year old in 1713, or the outdoor tables and chairs made by locals in India from railways sleepers delivered with a simple, courteous note from the person who made them.
Rooms evoke beach scenes complete with pebbles, driftwood, bleached timber walls, genuine antiques and soft lighting. 2008 Michelin award for ‘eating out in pubs’. Heated outdoor pool and newly opened health suite, ‘The Lavender Rooms’.

4 Star, The Farmhouse, St Saviours
The owner, David Nussbaumer, instructed local designers and architects to supervise a three year refurbishment which was finally finished in 2007 to an exceptional standard. The Farmhouse could have been transported from Scandinavia - pale wood and clean cream lines, log-burning stoves and candles, give an air of calm and tranquillity, ideal for luxury breaks. Outside pool, extensive grounds and idyllic rural location– great for outside dining in the summer. Conference facilities available.
