Go Do Great Things

The stage is set for visitors to go somewhere different and do something different, welcome to 2018 the year of 'GO DO'!

It’s time to go somewhere that’s close to home, but feels a million miles away, somewhere that’s British speaking but full of French influences, where you can spend the British pound in a place that oozes European flair and flavour, a destination that’s on the same time zone but you’ll spend many magical hours and days here. In 2018 we want to reawaken the adventurer in all our Visitors, we want them to ‘Go Do Great Things’ and hop to and from our five treasured Islands. Go catch waves whilst making them and get a great big dose of vitamin sea & D on one of our 50 beaches. Go feed your soul and sample some of the world’s freshest and tastiest cuisine, go make your own history and uncover centuries of heritage or go walk endless trails with unrivalled sea views. Whatever you want to ‘Go Do’ you can do it in Guernsey. It’s time to rediscover the simple pleasures of a proper holiday, where a warm welcome is always guaranteed in this the most sunniest place in the British Isles. So whether you’re discovering the Islands for the first time, rediscovering them like a long lost love or revisiting with an excited sense of familiarity, this is the year to go do it!

Guernsey Heritage Festival - 30 March - 10 May 2018

This popular Festival returns for its fifth year and 2018 shines a spotlight on life in Guernsey under German rule and the islands' subsequent liberation from the Occupying forces.
During WW2, Guernsey and its sister islands were occupied for five long years. Hear first-hand tales of what life was like during that period and how day to day life carried on. The festival will feature guided walks and cycle rides, events at our prominent heritage sites and museums, talks and family fun days and exclusive access into some of the Guernsey’s unique landmarks which have left a permanent reminder of the Occupation on the island.

Island Hopping

Travel Trident ferry from Rosaire Steps, Herm

Island hopping breaks have become popular all over the world, however there is one stunning archipelago you simply have to explore that lies a little closer to home. The Bailiwick of Guernsey is found in the English Channel between mainland Britain and France, and each isle is a little gem with unique traits, charms and attractions awaiting you.

Guernsey in itself is a truly wonderful holiday destination, boasting fascinating heritage, breath-taking scenery and a restaurant scene to rival anywhere else in the British Isles. However, the island can also act as your launch pad to its sister isles of Herm, Sark, Alderney and Lihou, all of which can be accessed in less than an hour of travel time.
