Aurigny launches inaugural year-round Paris route and releases 2024 summer schedule

Update from Aurigny Guernsey's Airline

20 October 2023

Aurigny passengers will benefit from direct flights to one of the world’s most loved cultural hotspots as the airline launches its first ever regular direct route to Paris. As part of the most significant airline network expansion for many years, the service will operate year-round on Fridays and Mondays from April 2024.

Aurigny will have more routes for UK destinations than ever, with five other routes set to be launched next year, including London City, Stanstead and Liverpool. These additional routes will make for easier connections within the UK and connecting flights to European holiday destinations.

Direct flights to 10 European destinations are being added to the summer schedule, including new routes to Biarritz in France and La Coruna in Spain. European flights will depart every Saturday from 6 April 2024 to 2 November 2024.

Nico Bezuidenhout, Chief Executive Officer, Aurigny, said:

‘Introducing a regular Paris service compliments Aurigny’s existing seasonal offerings between Guernsey and Europe. Providing a regular and direct link to a European hub airport benefits business and leisure travellers alike and enhances the air connectivity of the island.

In addition to Paris, Aurigny will operate direct scheduled seasonal flights to 12 European destinations in 2024 and will add weekend breaks, inviting the community to vote on new destinations as the year progresses.’

The States of Deliberation agreed in 2021 to aim to broaden European connectivity options as part of its Air Policy Framework 2012-2026.

Economic Development welcomed news of the Paris air link:

Deputy Neil Inder, President of the Committee for Economic Development, said:

Aurigny’s Paris air link will be an exciting addition to Guernsey’s route map by providing additional connectivity to France and beyond.

It will increase destination choice for our residents, enable new visitors to discover the islands of Guernsey, and provide local businesses with new trade prospects and onward connectivity options.’
