Visitor Experience Accreditation (non-Accommodation)

Quality Assurance for the Visitor Economy

Voluntary quality accreditation schemes are  available to partners operating outside the accommodation sector. Criteria have evolved over the years and schemes now focus more on customer satisfaction rather than on prescriptive criteria.

For 2018 we are proud to introduce a new accreditation that applies to most of the visitor experiences on Guernsey.

With unsurpassed inventiveness we have chosen to call this the Guernsey Visitor Experience Accreditation.

The scheme is designed to support operators on their continuous improvement journey whilst providing an accreditation that gives customer confidence.

Working closely with with our long-established partners Quality in Tourism, assessors review the customer experience so Guernsey can continue to deliver - Quality in Tourism!

Annual accreditations are offered on a voluntary, pay-to-participate basis – and it is important to note - participation does not guarantee accreditation.

Wherever possible accreditation is undertaken to nationally recognised standards, and for accredited sites there are distinctive award logos for use in marketing activities, and to provide greater prominence for sites advertising in partnership with VisitGuernsey.

All accredited sites are automatically featured on the Visit Guernsey website, and qualify for inclusion in the various marketing initiatives offered by VisitGuernsey.

Participating operators are required to sign up to the Marketing & Tourism Code of Practice and the Visit Guernsey Advertising Standards.
